Miss USA 2011 Alyssa Campanella

And the search for Miss USA 2011 is over. 51 hopeful candidates trimmed down to one ultimate winner after the swimsuit, evening gown and interview competitions. The one that stands-out from the 50 other contestants and catched the judges attention. And that is no other than Miss California, Alyssa Campanella, a 21-year-old natural blonde raised in New Jersey. She was crowned at the end of the night as Miss USA 2011. She beat out Miss Tennessee, Ashley Durham, who was named first runner-up by a panel of celebrity judges and was said to be her closed friend. Campanella replaces Rima Fakih, a Lebanese-born Muslim who was the first Arab-American to hold the title, and will be representing America at Miss Universe in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on September 12.

Awards like Miss Congenality USA was won by Miss Kentucky Kia Hampton and for Miss Photogenic USA by Miss Arizona Britanny Brannon.

Miss California Alyssa Campanella survived the Miss USA pageant but the real challenge is just about to come and a much greater responsibility is waiting for her. The question now is, will she also survive and take home the crown of Miss Universe pageant? Let's just hope for the best. :)
